This web site is intended to serve as a resource for Traumatic Brain Injury
(TBI) and Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) survivors, family members, health care
providers, social workers, and all other interested individuals whose lives and
experiences are affected by Traumatic Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injury. The
goal is to provide you, the reader, with useful information about the incidence,
causes and consequences of TBI and SCI, new developments in diagnosis and
treatment, a glossary of TBI and SCI terms, medico-legal issues affecting
survivors and their families, and information about resources available to
TBI/SCI survivors and family members.
Issues attacked include a Glossary of Terms, Understanding Brain Injury,
Understanding Spinal Injury, Local Resources (mainly Maryland and D.C., USA),
and Education.
All in all, this is the site of preference for those just injured, since it
combines practical information about the injury with practical legal
implications (it is, after all, published by a law firm). Please note -
practical and easy to understand.
If there develops a fault on this link, please could you email me on dickibus@copernicus.win-uk.net
and tell me about it; there are so many links to check periodically, many go
unchecked through accident or default.
